Study on the correlation of coing styele of family members of ICU patients and the situation of mental health

Abstract

0bjective To know the correlation of coing style of family members of ICU patients and the ituation of mental health.Methods 47 family members of ICU patients were measured by TCSQ and SCI-90, hen compared with those of patients in the general wards.Results The family members of ICU patients had evere problems of mental health.The score of negative coping Was(20.32 4±7.87),which Was significantly igher than(30.86±5.42)in the control group(P 0.05).The score of active coping had negative correlations with the otal score of SCL-90,terror,depression and anxiety(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The score of negative coping had positive correlation with SCI-90(P<O.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions The coping style is a main factor of nfluencing the mental health of family nlember of ICU patients.
