Abstract
Objective To explore the correlations between microRNA-195 (miR-195) expression level and glioblastoma patient’s pathological grade and prognosis. Methods The expression of miR-195 was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (Real-time PCR) in 34 cases of formalin fixed and paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues of glioma, overall survival time was recorded. Results MiR-195 expression level was negatively correlated with clinicpathological grades. The median survival time in patients with high miR-195 expression level was 56.53 months, 41.53 months longer than that with low expression level. The risk of death for the sufferers with high miR-195 expression level was 36.3% of whom with lower expression level. Conclusion The expression of miR-195 was related to clinicpathological grade and prognosis of glioma. MiR-195 may be considered as a new promising prognostic molecular marker. Key words: Glioma; MicroRNA-195; Prognosis; Clinic pathological grade
