Abstract

In order to explore the correlation between the electromagnetic transient phenomenon caused by the GIS internal and external transient loops caused by the isolation switch operation, in this paper, the 126kV GIS intelligent substation is taken as the research object. According to the field size of 126kV GIS and the corresponding voltage level, the corresponding components in GIS are equivalently modeled and analyzed, and the Mayr arc model is also applied. Based on the analog isolating switch, the GIS internal and external transient simulation loop of the ideal transformer with the ratio of 1:1 is used. The electromagnetic transient simulation software Atp-emtp is used to simulate the internal and external transient loops of GIS. Through the analysis of the transient simulation inside and outside the GIS, the transient characteristics of VFTO and VFTC generated in GIS are basically the same; the main time of the transient phenomenon caused by the isolation switch operation in GIS is basically the same; the most intense oscillations in VFTO, VFTC and TEV in GIS occur at the initial moment of transient generation, indicating that transient phenomenon is the strongest at the initial moment once transient phenomenon occurs.
