Abstract
The south-to-north water diversion project is of great significance to alleviate the shortage of water resources in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. To evaluate the impact of the implementation of the south-to-north water diversion project on the changes of water areas and vegetation before and after water transfer in this region based on remote sensing technology, the impact of major water conservancy projects on the regional ecological environment can be correctly analyzed. In this paper, through the collection of environmental satellite images of water area and vegetation in different seasons before and after the south-to-north water transfer in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and processed by remote sensing technology and geographic information system, the corresponding comparative images of water area and vegetation area are obtained. Calculate the corresponding area. After comparison, it is found that the south-to-north water diversion project increases the water area and vegetation area of Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, with an average increase of 974.55 km2, 123.1km2 and 96.35 km2 respectively. The growth of water area and vegetation area can promote the improvement of the local ecological environment, it is of great significance for cities to further carry out ecological construction and protection planning, ensure water resources, sustainable use of vegetation, promote regional high-quality development and the construction of ecological civilization.
