Abstract
A strain of the high-accumulating bacterium P5 was isolated from the pond sludge. The bioreactor of immobilized cell was made up with cinder grain as the carrier. The experimental results show that under the optimal operating conditions, the phosphorus removal rate was 99.30% and the removal rate of COD Cr was 92.14% to simulated wastewater with 20mg/L phosphorus (PO 4 3−-P) for 30 minutes and the phosphorus removal rate was 94.32% and the removal rates of COD Cr was 85.23% for 50 minutes to practical wastewater with 5.99mg/L phosphorus, 643 mg/L COD Cr using the bioreactor. The indexes of discharged water were up to the discharge standard II of pollutants for municipal treatment plant.
