Abstract
It established the indexes, criteria and system dynamics model of evaluating water resources carrying capacity. Assessment for water resources carrying capacity was carried out for the implementation of the eleventh five-year overall planning outline for the development of national economy and society in Wuhan (draft). The result showed that the supply and demand of water resources could maintain balance under four scenarios by 2010. But the use of cross-border water resources need be increased to achieve the sustainability of the use of water resources.
