Abstract

In order to overcome the disadvantage of low accuracy for traditional rainfall monitoring technologies, and solve the problems in real-time data acquisition, automatic processing and remote transmission for the existing meteorological observation, we design a new rainfall monitoring device based on fiber grating technology, which has such advantages as real-time capability, high sensitivity, high accuracy, unattended operation and can fairly meets the present requirements of meteorological observation.
