Abstract
Safe production occupies a very important position in chemical production, and chemical reactors are one of the most dangerous equipment in the chemical process. For the characteristics of the continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR) with coil and jacket cooling system, a temperature dual-control scheme of CSTR based on the analysis of CSTR exothermic reaction control characteristic was proposed for an organic material polymerization production. Based on the analysis of the thermal stability of CSTR and the establishment of a mathematical model, the design and realization of the fault tolerance of the coil cooling failure and the jacket cooling failure. The control solution has passive fault-tolerant ability for the jacket cooling water cutting off fault and active fault-tolerant potential for the coil cooling water cutting off fault, and it has good control ability, high saving energy and reducing consumption performance. Taking advantage of the strong correlation between the reaction temperature and reaction pressure of CSTR produced by polymerization, an active fault-tolerant control of CSTR temperature sensor failure based on pressure safety control is designed. With semi-physical simulation, the control system designed for CSTR temperature control is proven valid.
