Abstract

Abstract The study present in this paper aims to solve the problems happening in the heavy oil production wells with steam stimulation in Shanjiasi, Shengli Oilfield, that at the end of a circle, temperature fall causes the viscosity of the production liquids to increase significantly, which leads to various accidents. By analyzing the laboratory test of the viscosity reduction and rheology of the heavy oil, etc., the feasible mechanism of mixing active water in heavy oil to emulsify and the relevant downhole production technique are obtained. With the technology of injecting active water down the annulus in three wells, the stable production is insured in the late production period of heavy oil wells with steam injection, and the production period is prolonged with a favorable economics Introduction Nowadays, technology of heavy oil thermal recovery has found its wide-spread application in China. The production of heavy oil kept on increasing and the operation technology of mixing lighter oil to reduce viscosity in the late production period of the heavy oil wells becomes perfect day by day. As the production scale of heavy oil becomes larger and larger and the amounts of lighter oil and natural gas that each heavy oil field possesses are different, it brings difficulties to the heavy oil production by mixing lighter oil to reduce viscosity and to the surface heating transportation; furthermore, the technology of mixing lighter oil to reduce viscosity is adverse to maintain the characteristic of heavy oil. It is a very meaningful task to seek a new way to reduce the viscosity of heavy oil.
