Abstract

A series of BaTiO 3 solid solutions were synthesized by sol-gel method during different aging time. The effect of aging time on the dielectric properties of BaTiO 3 ceramics was discussed. A series of BaTiO 3: x Eu 2O 3 and Ba 0.9Sr 0.1TiO 3: xEu 2O 3 solid solutions were synthesized by sol-gel method and their properties were investigated. The ceramics obtained were of high dielectric constants at room temperature. The results indicated that the dielectric properties of BaTiO 3 ceramics were improved by doping with Eu 2O 3. The doping of Sr 2+ resulted in the decrease in T c and the increase of dielectric constant. The dopant Eu 3+ not only caused the decrease in T c, but also caused the broadening of Curie peak.
