Abstract

The traditional three-level active neutral point clamped (ANPC ) inverter voltage space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM ) control method requires a lot of trigonometric calculation and sectors to determine, so the computation of the controller is huge, especially when the level number of the inverter is increased, requiring voltage space vector and controller computation increased geometrically. This makes it more difficult to control. This paper proposed a kind of SVPWM control algorithm based on KL coordinate system, and this method is successfully applied in three-level ANPC inverter. The algorithm needn't the traditional trigonometric calculation and judge which vector the reference space vector falls in, simplifies the computation, the amount of calculation is not relevant to the number of inverter level and easy to extend to a higher level of multilevel inverter circuits. Simulation and experimental results show the feasibility and correctness of the method.
