Abstract

The three-phase short circuit fault in power system is a common problem, and the fault in the power grid will cause huge economic losses. Aiming at the three-phase short-circuit fault which in the power grid, a complete indirect control strategy of current is designed. Firstly, the principle and characteristics of (STATCOM) Static Synchronous Compensator of voltage bridge circuit are analyzed, and PWM and voltage control strategy are designed in detail to realize the recovery of system short circuit fault. The experimental results show that the control method has the characteristics of flexible operation, fast reactive power, which can effectively solve the fault problem and stabilize the system voltage. At the same time, (GTO) turn-off thyristor and (IGBT) Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor two devices to keep the system stable ability. Do a simulation show. The simulation results show that the proposed control strategy is feasible and effective.
