Abstract

Objective To investigate the method and effect of standardized nurse training in psychiatric hospital.Methods 50 nurses at new post in one year from January 2010 to December 2012 in our hospital were divided into control group and study group according to random number table,nurses in the control group received traditional teaching training model,nurses in the study group received standardized training theory,the difference were compared before and after training about theoretical knowledge,operating capabilities,comprehensive capacity and satisfaction of questionnaire survey.Results After training for about one year,theoretical knowledge,operating capabilities,comprehensive capacity and satisfaction scores in two groups were significantly higher than those before training.In study group,the score about theoretical knowledge and operating capabilities were (87.32 ± 10.28) point and (95.48 ± 5.13) point,score about basic theory,nursing operating capabilities,psychiatric expertise,emergency handling ability were (8.5 ± 0.4),(9.1 ± 0.4),(9.4 ± 0.4),(8.5 ± 0.5) point respectively,the satisfaction about teaching mode,their ability to play,self-learning ability,analyzing and solving problems capacity,and the overall harvesting were 96 %,80 %,80 %,76 % and 88% respectively,significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05).Conclusion Psychiatric nurse standardized training at new post can improve their specialist theoretical level,operational capabilities and overall quality,and adapt to psychiatric hospital nursing at a short time.
