Abstract
Compare the dynamic characteristics and earthquake response between double thin-wall pier and single column pier, also study influence of prestress to seismic response or seismic performance evaluation. The results showed that the performance of double thin-wall pier is more reasonable than that of single column pier, the influence of prestress to seismic response is too small, but is important to seismic performance evaluation which should be considered, and the force of internal and external limb should be reasonable to avoid large difference between the two limbs in serviceability state.
