Abstract

In Korea where the number of tuberculosis patients is increasing every year, a great and immediate attention should be directed how to find the best and most effective way of controlling and handle tuberculosis problem.A big problem still remains how to handle tuberculosis infection caused by the open cases who can not be at lack of the adequate beds. Moreover. the appearance present confined in sanatoria due to of mutant bacilli produce in the course of using antituberculous drugs. presents a great menace to the newly infected patients.Experimental studies were carried out to observe the Physico-chemical resistance of INH resistant BCG and Reveal tubercle bacilli. 1. INH-resistant Ravenal strains show ed apparent decrease in the resistance to various physicochemical agents. 2. Apparent difference has not been noted in Physico-chemical resistance between avirulent BCG strains and virulent Ravenal strains; and the higher the drug-resistance, the weaker the Physico-chemical resistance. 3. The comparative observations among SM. PAS. And INH -resistant tubercle bacilli to physicochemical agents were made; INH-resistant strains were weakest.
