Abstract

This paper uses the Non-thermal Plasma produced by dielectric barrier discharge to treat the emulsion waste liquid. The effects of discharge time, peak voltage, and initial concentration of waste liquid and inorganic salt on Chemical Oxygen Demand COD degradation and turbidity removal rate were studied. The primary and secondary order of influencing factors of the COD degradation rate of emulsion cutting waste liquid is discharge time > peak voltage > initial concentration of emulsion cutting waste liquid > inorganic salt type. That is to say, when 0.3000 g of anhydrous calcium chloride is added to the emulsion waste liquid prepared according to the ratio of 1:200, the peak discharge voltage is 30 kV, the discharge time is 4 hours, and the COD degradation rate is the best. The experimental results show that the COD degradation rate is 87.48%. The primary and secondary order of factors affecting the turbidity removal rate of emulsion-cutting waste liquid is peak voltage > inorganic salt type > initial concentration of emulsion-cutting waste liquid > discharge time. The experimental results show that the turbidity removal rate of emulsion waste liquid is 93.21%.
