Abstract

Magnetic BiOI/rGO/Fe3O4 composite photocatalysts were prepared by hydrothermal method and were characterized by XRD, FESEM, Mapping, and UV–Vis DRS. Then Rhodamine B (RhB) was used as the target pollutant to investigate the photocatalytic activity and recyclability of magnetic composite photocatalysts. Results show that the photocatalytic activity of BiOI/rGO/Fe3O4 composite photocatalyst prepared under optimum preparation conditions is slightly lower than that of BiOI/rGO composite photocatalyst, but it can be separated effectively by external magnetic field, and the degradation rate of RhB can still reach 82% after 10 cycles, indicates the magnetic composite photocatalyst has good recyclability.
