Abstract

An improved approach which realizes high-efficiency Raman conversion for eight Stokes generation was demonstrated experimentally in this paper. A lab-built pulse-train green laser synchronously pumped a 120 mm (optical distance) b-cut KGd(WO4)2 crystal Raman cavity which produced an up to 602 mW multi-color Stokes Raman laser. The output spectra, which covered the 532–864 nm spectra region, was split by nine separated laser lines. The output power and the Raman conversion efficiency have been improved compared with our previous work, and the output spectra has also been extended from visible light to near-infrared light. It is the first report about a 864 nm collinear picosecond pulse-train laser to our best knowledge.
