Abstract
This work presents the practicability of using carbamide as an additive on biodiesel fuel to evaluate the NOX and smoke emission characteristics. Four blends of fuels namely, neat diesel, biodiesel (MME100), a blend of biodiesel – carbamide (10 and 20%) is prepared and tested in a diesel engine. The experimental results were revealed that the adding of carbamide (MME90C10 and MME80C20) to biodiesel has shown a significant reduction of Smoke and NOx emissions.
