Abstract

To solve the complicated production process of air-core reactor small-scale model, two-loop and three-loop model have been proposed in this paper to carry out the structure optimization and the prediction of magnetic field. Firstly, according to the size of the air-core reactor, height to diameter ratio(H/D) of the model was divided into 0.5 to 2. The radial and axial magnetic induction strength formulas of the two-loop and three-loop model were obtained. Then the optimal structure of the simplified model was achieved by analytical calculation. The relative height(p) of the optimal simplified model was among the range of 68%∼72% when the value of H/D was among the range of 0.5∼2.0. Secondly, 3D models were simulated by finite element method to analyze the influence of different simplified model structures on the magnetic field prediction. Finally, the optimal simplified model of origin model was ρ(%)=70.27 three-loop model, and the analytical results were verified.
