Abstract

The paper studied the microstructure and properties of new aluminum-based sliding bearing alloy, which Cu, Ni, Mg, Sn, Ti, B... elements were appropriately added. The as-prepared aluminum alloy was investigated using scan electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the alloy microstructure is α-Al crystalology matrix with Tin and some compounds, contribute to suitable strength, hardness and plastic level for manufacturing whole sliding bearing. All of that are mainly got credit for solid solution strengthening and precipitation hardening. Sufficient soft tin in grain boundary makes the alloy have excellent antifriction performance, anti-seizing.
