Abstract

This paper briefly discusses the mathematical models, force models and methods of AOD (autonomous orbit determination) of navigation satellites, which are based on the least square collocation method using both cross-link ranging observations and prior information given. A variety of simulations are processed with the software developed by ourselves in this paper, and the results indicate that the method of AOD adopted in this paper can not only solve the rank deficiency problem successfully, but also achieve the equivalent precision to broadcast ephemeris.Meanwhile, the influence of the measurement noise in cross-link ranging and the quality of prior information to the precision of AOD is analyzed, and the necessity of considering tide perturbation in precise AOD is brought forward.
