Abstract

Objective To investigate the status of mental health of medical students by questionnaire and analyze the related influence factors including family,society and education.Methods A study was conducted among 450 medical students who were enrolled during 2006 to 2010 by using UPI and a self-made questionnaire.Results Medical students who may have serious mental health problems took 10.7% and the related influence factors included sexuality,grade,attitude toward medicine,willing to be a doctor after graduation,education from mother,encourage from teachers and attention about personal development in future.Conclusions Close attention should be paid to mental health needs of medical students,and targeted mental health education and psychological counseling should be carried out.
