Abstract

The self-compacting concrete is modern day concrete that doesn’t require vibration for compaction. It can able to flow by its own self weight. It reduces the framework casts as no vibration is required, time consumable, early quality pick up. The steel fibers (straight) can be successful on small scale and large scale. The objective of the paper is to understand the nature of self-compacting concrete and by adding the reinforcing materials like steel fibers and other reinforced materials. By undergoing the previous literatures it shows that strength of the scc increases with the addition of steel fibers at different percentages of fibers in it. The result has be analyzed and carried out by testing the concrete to know the mechanical properties of the specimens. The tests conducted for the concrete at the age of 7 and 28 days of hardened (flexural, compression and split tensile) test.
