Abstract

In this paper, one kind of active structured light sensor—laser stripe sensor—is studied. The effects of the structure parameters on measuring accuracy of sensor are analyzed in detail. The mathematical model of the sensor is established based on the perspective projection and the matrix transformation theory. A practical method of calibrating sensor is proposed. Experimental results show that the laser stripe sensor can achieve an accuracy better than 0.05 mm.
