Abstract

Traffic noise pollution is a widespread public health problem in both developing and developed countries. Quickly and effectively evaluating the quality of an urban acoustic environment is an important challenge for urban planning and management. Noise map is an important tool for traffic noise management. For large area, the design of measuring point distribution is the key to improve the accuracy of regional noise map drawing. In this study, the roads in the study area are classified firstly, and the research area is divided into 11 small areas according to the division method of acoustic environment functional area, then the mathematical model of the sound pressure attenuation of the point acoustic source is established according to the propagation rule of the point acoustic source. The measured point data of traffic noise are taken as point acoustic source, the distribution rule of traffic noise acoustic source field in 2-D space is inverted by using Kriging interpolation method. After repeated verification, the interpolation accuracy of prediction whose 5-6 measuring points are set in each area to be measured can meet the requirements. The purpose of reducing the observation point and improving the accuracy of prediction is achieved.
