Abstract

Inner insulation tube as a key component of ITER insulation break, its fabrication process was designed, and the specimen type was designed and made. Fibres and void content was tested, and thermal coefficient was measured. The results showed that it is reasonable to use R glass fibres in filament wet winding as inner tube for ITER IB because the thermal shrinking measure of this composite fabricated by this process technology is so close to the one of stainless steel 316L that it is good to reduce the thermal stress in the insulation structure of IB
