Abstract

The feasibility of in-line insensitive high explosive train based on multipoint overpressure initiation is studied in this paper. The output capacity of the multi-point EFI is verified by the initiation margin test. The multi-point EFI can reliably detonate the insensitive booster TATB. Be directed against the multi-point EFI, the slow cook-off test and Liquid fuel fire test were carried out and the response level was not greater than combustion. A liquid fuel fire test was carried out aimed at a small-scale bomb composed by multi-point EFI and insensitive booster TATB. The response grade of small-scale bomb in the liquid fuel fire test is combustion. The results of series of tests show that a in-line insensitive high explosive train can be formed by using the multi-point EFI and insensitive booster.
