Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the concepts and theories of ‘mistakes’ by inductively grasping and understanding the phenomena through the grounded theory method. Through this, it is possible to identify the ‘mistakes’ is to provide data. It is based on the questions generated through the first round of interviews, we conducted an open questionnaire survey of 38 professional poomsae players to collect opinions of more players. It is based on the extracted data were materialized through in - depth interviews with the players again. The following conclusions were obtained through this paradigm. First, it can be seen that the ‘mistakes’ perceived by the poomsae players are not the ‘wrong’ actions or techniques but the parts that can be deducted from the rules of the game and where the points can be deducted. Second, ‘mistakes’ affecting the results of the poomsae players were found to be due to the psychological condition of the athletes, except for external factors such as stadium environment. Third, there are at the strategic handle of the poomsae players focal phenomenon, it was a way to solve them alone without help from others.
