Abstract

The hydration process of cement mortar with nano-metakaolin (NMK) for three contents (3%,5%,7%) in early hydration stage and stable hydration stage were investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that the addition of NMK can accelerate the hydration process of cement mortar with NMK in hydration early stage (1-12h) and stable hydration stage (1-28d). NMK can increase the resistance of continounous conductive path RCCP. At 28d, the RCCP of specimen with NMK contents of 3%, 5%, 7% were increased by28.7%, 43.4% and 71.1%.
