Abstract

In order to improve the high-temperature resistance and wear resistance of the D60 steel surface, arc ion plating technology is used to deposit Cr coating on the surface of D60 steel. A friction and wear testing machine is used to test the friction coefficient of D60 steel and Cr coating. Scanning electron microscope and Energy dispersive spectrometer are used to characterize the microstructure, composition, and phase composition of D60 steel and Cr coating. The research results indicate that when the temperature is 300°C and the load is 100 N, the friction coefficient of arc ion-plated Cr coating is higher than that of D60 steel. In addition, on the wear morphology, there are adherents and local peeling phenomena on the surface of the Cr coating.
