Abstract

In order to evaluate the health status of the higher education system in various countries, this paper selects eight indicators which have important influence on higher education:employment rate, gross enrolment ratio in higher education, number of graduates from higher education, net import of international students,teacher-student ratio of higher education, proportion of government expenditure on higher education to total expenditure, number of years of expected higher education and GDP per capita. The entropy weight-Topsis model and Logistic model are constructed based on the data from 2007-2016 to reflect the situation of higher education in recent ten years. In this paper,we draw the conclusion that the health status of the higher education system in the past ten years is scored, ranked and expected in the next five years, and give some reasonable suggestions in combination with the actual situation. An entropy weight- TOPSIS model is established in this paper. The data of the above eight indexes in 2016 are used to represent the current situation, and the scores and rankings of degree of higher education in 20 countries are solved. South Korea, which has room for improvement in the higher education system,is chosen as the next analysis object.
