Abstract

Fire-resistant barriers are usually installed in industrial plants to reduce the risk in fire. These barriers are installed in accordance with the guidelines stipulated in various standards applicable to the plant, but the standards for fire-resistance performance and barrier thickness are unclear. In this study, fire-resistance tests were conducted on concrete barriers installed in plants to assess their fire-resistance performance and heat-discharge characteristics. The test results were then analyzed to ensure that the fire performance specified in the relevant standards is satisfied, and the risk in fire was investigated.
