Abstract

In order to discuss the effect of voltage on treatment of phenol wastewater by three-dimension E-Fenton. The paper mensurates the removal rate of phenol and current density, Faraday efficiency under different voltage. For the treatment of phenol wastewater by three-dimension electrode Fenton reagent method, in a certain range of voltage with the hoist of voltage the impetus of electrochemical oxidation reaction enhancing and the removal rate of phenol heightening subsequently. In this experiment conditions, the appropriate electrolytic voltage is 12V. It is particularly important to selecting the reasonable electrolytic voltage for reducing energy consumption and improving the effect of organic matter degradation. With the increase of electrolytic voltage, the corresponding Faraday efficiency decrease. The process of phenol oxidative degradation follows first order reaction kinetic model in electrochemical reactor. The correlation relationship of electrolytic voltage and reaction kinetics constant k is k=0.0006674U1.7784.
