Abstract

Roller bearing displays complicated nonlinear behavior due to nonlinear Hertzian contact force and waviness. The four-DOF nonlinear vibration equations of roller bearing are established, and dynamic properties of roller bearing are calculated considering nonlinear vibration. Newmark-β method and Newton-Raphson method are used to solve the nonlinear equations. Effects of nonlinear vibration on dynamic characteristics of roller bearing are analyzed. The results show that the slide ratio of cage, stiffness of roller bearing vary obviously at non-periodic vibration range, radial clearance and waviness of roller bearing greatly changes the dynamic characteristics of bearing.
