Abstract

Ren, J.-G.; Wu, Q.-Q.; Wang, D.-S.; Gong, K.; Gao, P.-C., and Wu, Q., 2019. Study on dynamic monitoring and numerical simulation of seawater intrusion test. In: Gong, D.; Zhu, H., and Liu, R. (eds.), Selected Topics in Coastal Research: Engineering, Industry, Economy, and Sustainable Development. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 94, pp. 280–284. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.With the rapid economic development of the coastal area and the intensification of groundwater exploitation, the phenomenon of seawater intrusion has become more and more serious, which has seriously hindered the sustainable development of coastal cities. In order to monitor the dynamic process of seawater intrusion, this paper simulates the process of seawater intrusion by means of medium scale test sand tank, and probes into the variation law of conductivity and Cl- concentration at the interface of sea and fresh water during the process of seawater intrusion.
