Abstract

In this paper the author focuses his study on finding the factors that decide the receiver's immunity of digital cellular mobile communication system. He starts his study from analyzing RF receiving sensitivity formula and finds that, by ways of optimizing FT (total noise factor) of the receiver's RF part and minimizing (minimum output signal to noise ratio required by communication system), the receiving sensitivity level of receiver can be lowered. By doing simulation and performing test on GSM receiver, he finds that the channel coding schemes and spectrum spreading can decrease the BER (bit error rate) and are two of the factors that decide of GSM receiver. He concludes from his further analysis on channel coding theorem that the system schemes such as channel coding scheme, signal occupied bandwidth, modulation schemes and so on all together decide the immunity of the cellular mobile receiver. At last, his conclusion is further concluded by do simulation and test on GSM and TD-SCDMA receivers.
