Abstract

Objective To investigate the application value of remote ECG monitoring for arrhythmia diagnosis. Methods From April 2010 to December 2011, 80 cases of arrhythmia patients treated in our hospital were.chosen,at first, each patient had a 24-hour Holter monitoring. After the end of Holter monitoring,80 patients had the remote ECG monitoring, then we analyzed the ECG data of the two monitoring methods.Arthythmia detection rates of the two methods were calculated. The arrhythmia detection rates were compared and the types of arrhythmia were analyzed. Results The arrhythmia detection rate of 24-hour ambulatory ECG was 52.5%,3 cases were detected irregular arrhythmia; the detection rate of remote ECG monitoring was 86.3%,2 cases detected irregular arrhythmia(P < 0.05).Conclusion Remote ECG monitoring can not only bring convenience to the arrhythmia diagnosis, but also has a higher detection rate,a certain detection to irregular heart rate.It is a strong complement of hospital routine heart rate diagram check and 24-hour Holter. So remote ECG monitoring has a great significance in the clinical diagnosis of abnormal heart rhythms.
