Abstract

Rig is widely used in civil engineering. With the increasingly nervous energy supply, the problem of saving energy is caused close attention more and more. Hydraulic technology widely used in drilling equipment faces the same problem. The parameters of hydraulic system not only affect the rig’s work performance, but also impact on energy consumption and cost of the system. This paper introduced the energy saving principle and method of the rig’s hydraulic system. Taking the drilling rig’s rotary system as an example, the design pressure of hydraulic system was determined using mathematic analytic method- extreme method which is based on the energy saving principle. The method provides a reference for determining the hydraulic system’s pressure of rig.
