Abstract
In this study, a degradation-type catalyst consisting of rare earth element La-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles loaded with manganese dioxide was synthesized, and photocatalysis technology was applied for the degradation treatment of gold-cyanide wastewater. The catalyst was characterized using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and results showed that the catalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance. The catalyst effectively decomposed the cyanide in the gold-containing effluent under light conditions, attaining a clearance rate of over 90%. This study explores the practicality and economic viability of its large-scale implementation while offering new concepts and techniques for effective and environmentally friendly treatment technologies in the field of wastewater treatment.
