Abstract

The deformation of arch dam during impoundment is critical to evaluate the safety of arch dam, which is influenced by many factors that have different action mechanisms. After the monitoring data at different impoundment stages were comprehensively analyzed, a finite element simulation analysis model that can consider the real temperature, stress and deformation of the dam was set up with the help of simulation analysis method based on the whole process of the dam, which can effectively separate the single deformation caused by water pressure, dead weight, creep, air temperature, seepage and valley deformation. Then, the deformation mechanism of arch dam was gotten and the weight of each deformation influencing factor was accurately defined, thus providing experience and reference for the deformation law analysis of similar projects.
