Abstract

Aiming at the problem of excessive circulating current in modular multilevel converter (MMC) and low transmission efficiency of the dual active bridge (DAB) converter, A new control strategy of power electronic transformer (PET) based on MMC is proposed. The topology of PET is analyzed, A circulating current controller is added in input-level to realize that the system is in the unit power operation, circulating current of arm is effectively suppressed and capacitor voltage of submodules (SM) is balanced. In DAB converter, the minimizing leakage inductance current RMS control with variable parameters is used to stabilize DC-DC output voltage and improve the transmission efficiency of ISOP converter. Simulation results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
