Abstract

Objective To investigate the cognitive function the long-term Schizophrenic patients in captivity.Methods We sive the Wechsler Intelligence Test(WAIS)and controlled study between 100Patients with long-term schizophrenia in captivity and 100 healthy human.Results The comparisons of the two groups found that patients with long-term schizophrenia in captivity full IQ(FIQ),verbal IQ(VIQ)and performance IQ(PIQ)were significantly lower than the control group.97%of patients FIQ is lower than normal,79% of patients with mental defects.Conclusion The deficit of lognitive function of the long-term schizophrenic patients in captivity is serious,extensive and difficult to change.
