Abstract

To investigate the association of hemorheology and stroke, and to provide a scientific basis for the clinical features of hemorheology in patients with stroke, a large number of hemorheology data of patients with stroke were collected, and with factor analysis, five unrelated common factors were extracted from 9 indicators of the stroke patients including hemorheology, age and sex, etc., which were then classified with cluster analysis after orthogonal rotation according to common factor scores. The results of cluster were divided into 4 categories, i.e. male under 60, male over 60, female under 60 and female over 60. The results show that by combination of factor and cluster analysis methods, the clinical features of stroke can be scientifically classified. The factor and cluster analysis are of great value in the diagnosis and prevention of stroke
