Abstract
The application technology of lightweight model is a key issue in no-drawing manufacturing. Based on enterprise demand, the creation, use and management of lightweight model were studied. This paper presented the technology that lightweight model based on PDM system should be associated with the original design data, and the concrete requirements such as its size should be reduced more than one tenth by the premise of keeping consistent with geometric accuracy of the original model. This paper also put forward acquisition method, application range, file management, version management and status management of lightweight model. The contents can provide a reference for choosing creation software, making management regulation and application standard of lightweight model.
