Abstract
Objective To study the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of different main chemi- cal active components dispensing in stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) by the index of anti-inflammatory and analgesic pharmacological evaluation, based on the screening experiments in the pre- scription formulation. Methods Seven dispensing formulas were made up from four chemical active compo- nents in the stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) with L8(27) orthogonal design table, and its dosage was converted according to the original crude drug. The times of licking lower abdomen or lower limb, and swelling degree in ear and foot were observed. The inhibition rates of sigmoid pain, the inhibition rates of the ear or foot swelling were the index to evaluate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic pharmacological effects, with analysis of variance. Results According to the evaluation index of sigmoid pain inhibition rate, the degree of the analgesic effect of active components in stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) was as following: paeoniflorin>glycyrrhizic acid>rhizoma corydalis>corydalis α-cyperone. According to the evaluation index of foot swelling rate, the degree of anti-inflammatory effects of active component in stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) was as following: tetrahydropalmatine>paeoniflorin>glycyrrhizic acid>corydalis α-cyperone. According to the evaluation index of ear swelling rate, the degree of anti-inflamma- tory effects of active component in stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) was as following: α-cyperone>tetrahydropalmatine>paeoniflorin>glycyrrhizic acid. Conclusion There are good anti-inflamma-tory and analgesic effects if the four kinds of active component of α-cyperone, paeoniflorin, tetrahydropalma- tine and glycyrrhizic acid in stomachic tonic and analgesics mixture (健胃止痛合剂) are simultaneously com- patible, and separating them for prescription is not recommended.
