Abstract

One to the discharging mechanism of the Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) ozone generator is very complicated, the discharging process cannot be described clearly until now. When the power supply for DBD type ozone generator is designed, the DBD type ozone generator is regard as a "black box". In order to make the output variables approach expected value, the external parameters of power supply (power supply voltage, inverter circuit operating frequency and compensation inductance parameters, etc.) are adjusted by experiences. Taking into account a large number of DBD type ozone generator are powered by series and parallel resonant inverter power supply or Step-up transformer (the ozone generator voltage are mostly sine wave or quasi sine wave in these schemes). Based on the averageequivalent model of DBD type load and transition conditions of discharge and non-discharge state, the working mode of DBD type load is deduced, the active power and power factor of power supply is made and the optimization method of power supply is discussed. Through analysis and induction, an engineering design method for power supply of DBD type ozone generator is presented in this Japer. At the end of this paper, a design example is used to illustrate the use of this design method.
