Abstract

A Co(II) coordination polymer {[Co3(L)2(tib)2(H2O)2]·10H2O·2HO·2O)}n [L = 2, 6-di(4-carboxylphenyl)pyridine-4-carboxylic, tib = 1, 3, 5-tris(1-imidazolyl)benzene)], was synthesized under the condition of solvothermal and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectra and thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis exhibits that the complex possesses a 4-nodal (3, 3, 4)-connected 3D topology framework with the Schläfli symbol (7·8·9) (7·82·92) (74·92) (7·8·9). Moreover, the adsorptive removal test were performed of the complex for methylene blue (MB) from wastewater in terms of kinetics and isothermal adsorption. All results showed significant adsorption capacity of the complex for MB.
