Abstract

In this paper, experiments and numerical simulations have been performed to demonstrate that both the guide vane and bionic guide vane can effectively reduce the aerodynamic noise. Both the hybrid calculation method and the acoustic-structure coupling method are employed to calculate the aerodynamic noise of the air pipeline. The impact of the guide vane positioning on the pipeline velocity field and fluctuating pressure is scrutinized and deliberated. Utilizing principles from bionics technology, the bionic groove structure is applied to the bend guide vane, forming a new bionic guide vane. The results show that the bionic guide vane can improve the flow field distribution and substantially mitigates the aerodynamic noise of the elbow effectively.
