Abstract

Abstract: In recent years, numerous photovoltaic (PV) generation systems have been installed into the distribution system to solve the environmental issues. However, a high penetration of PV systems introduce some negative effects such as voltage fluctuations and voltage rises. Therefore, a thyristor type-step voltage regulator (TVR) that can control voltage by changing the tap is planned to be introduced into the distribution system. In this paper, a voltage control method of a TVR is proposed considering parameter changes in response to voltage fluctuations of PV systems and heavy loads.
